Layton City, Utah, offers much to both families and businesses. As one of the largest cities in Utah, it still has the neighborly feel that makes you want to walk the dog or go catch a movie at one of it's state of the art theaters by Layton Hills Mall. Mouth-watering food abounds in Layton restaurants of many flavors like amazingly tender Holy Smoke's BBQ, McCool's Irish Pub, Kim Long Vietnamese, and pie from Marie Callendar's.
Christmas can be quite fun around this town! Mountain View Baptist Church offers the first week of December their Journey to Bethlehem incredible interactive Christmas production where you travel (literally) with a Jewish family to the town the Roman soldiers have sent you, Bethlehem. Dress warm! Also not to be missed is the Layton Commons Park Christmas Lights. Stop by the Burger Stop (GREAT burgers, by the way) and catch the hay ride for a couple bucks or park and walk through. It's totally breathtaking and magical when it's snowing!
Plan on a very enjoyable July 4th celebration with parades and a fair. Look for outdoor concerts, a spring home show, and movies in the park. New to Layton in 2012 was a Military Appreciation Day & Car Show, the Sounds of Freedom.
Homes really hold their value around Layton due to the nearness of the mountains and Hill Air Force Base. You'll find a variety of sizes and prices including some great investment properties as well.
Take a look around the town and you'll love what you see.
